Wanted to give everyone a heads up as to what’s going on with the Chief. Last week the boat was hauled out to install a new sonar and in the process of being hauled the boat suffered extensive damage due to gross negligence from an unnamed boat yard. At this time we do not know the fate of the chief but wanted to give everyone the heads up on what’s going on before the rumor mill starts to twist everything. I will keep everyone updated as things progress. ... See MoreSee Less
Hope for a speedy recovery! Love your boat and your crew! God speed! 🤙
That explains what happened to all the trips!
I was scheduled for a 2 day that got canceled, then I rescheduled for a 2.5 day trip on the 7th, that got canceled as well. I don't as starting to think I was cursed! I'm still willing to give the Chief a try but I guess it will be next year. Good luck getting stuff squares away and let's hope the unnamed chowder heads take care of business so you dont get even more boned.
Prayers buddy, I hope everything works out!
Looks like a travel lift operator just lost their job.... hope the yard makes it right especially since the fishing is so good
Sorry guys!!!! TripleWall outdoors had an awesome trip with you this season! Hope it gets worked out for the better!!!
That really sucks bro. Hope everything gets fixed and you guys can get back out there and finish strong. I will make sure to hope on a trip when your back out.
Long Live the Chief!
First sportboat I fished on. Get well soon!
A "starter" vessel for me...H & M 85....from 1968 until about 1973....from deckhand then Captain...that boat has a LONG history of poor boatyard maintance. The good news is...it'll all work out for the best....good luck.
Damn that SUCKS!
I'm guessing the shipyard will have a boatload (pun intended) of insurance coverage for things like this. 🤞
Hope she’s salvageable. Had some productive albacore trips in the day.
O no sorry to here wish you luck hope she’s back in the water soon 🙏🙏🙏
Can’t sling a 90 ft wet wood hull sucks for sure poor girl could be totalled from the negligence
That is really gross negligence to just install a sonar. Not a good thing....
Sorry to hear... best of luck...
Hope it works out in your favor because u have turned that operation into a top notch boat.
It will be worth the wait for sure. New sonar is always a good thing. Extra time off is always a great time for thorough PM!! Good luck on the Fall season!! 🤑
OH NO!! Hope your back out on the water where you belong sooner than later!!!
Val & Tom🎏
Damn! That’s a shame. Boat has solid mahogany stringers. Really cool old wood hull boat. 😥
Hope you can fixer up and get back on the water
As a captain, how can this happen? I damn sure would of been all over that. I would think you guys could of seen that coming. You'll get her straighten out. Good Luck
